BLACK RIVER FALLS, WI (WSAUWAOW) – I-94 has been closed in Black River Falls after a semi crashed and caught fire early Friday morning.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, it occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Officials did not specify what caused the incident but stated no one was injured.
I-94 is closed in both the east and west lanes. According to WisDOT, Highway 12 is being used as an alternate route as crews clean the scene.
Around 9:35 a.m., State Patrol reported that one westbound lane of I-94 was open for traffic. The eastbound lanes will be restricted for several hours for cleanup.
