Kenneth D. Nemetz, 64, Hatley, died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on October 9, 1951, the son of the late Daniel Nemetz and Vernal (Magley) Nemetz.
Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran.
On July 12, 1974, Ken was united in marriage to Stephanie Rabideaux in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on September 1, 2010.
Ken worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching westerns, hunting and fishing. Ken also enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Survivors include six children, James Massey, Wausau, Charles Massey, Joseph Nemetz, Nicole Kreger, Anthony Nemetz and Stephen Nemetz, all of Hatley; his mother, Vernal Nemetz, Denmark; nine grandchildren and four sisters, Diane (Steve) Baugnet, Townsend, Christine (Gary) Reese, Waukesha, Nancy (Gerard) Duginske, Denmark and Lori (Ken) Hoyt, Whitewater. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father and wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gary and son-in-law, Mitchell Kreger.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Amy Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1pm until the time of services at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted following the service by the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post #502.
