STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A man has been arrested for driving under the influence with a child under 16 in the car.
Forty-nine-year-old Terry Thomas Gumhold, of St. Germain, has been arrested for his 4th OWI. He also had one child in his car under the age of 16.
Officials say a Wisconsin State Trooper stopped Gumhold’s Chevy Silverado on Sunday on I-39 Northbound north of County Highway W for going almost 100 mph. While inspecting the car, the trooper noticed open intoxicants in the vehicle.
The trooper then performed a standardized field sobriety test on Gumhold. Gumhold was then arrested for operating a motor vehicle while having a PAC above .02, with a passenger under the age of 16.
He was also issued citations for speeding and consuming an open intoxicant while in the vehicle.
