MADISON, Wis (WSAU) Wisconsin’s defense held Purdue to less than 200-yards of offense in a 24-7 win in Madison on Saturday. Alec Ingold ran for two touchdowns. Joel Stave threw for 322-yards and led a secoring drive late in the second half to put the game away.
The Badgers improve to 2-1 in the Big Ten, and 5-2 overall.
A Purdue fumble in the second half sealed the Boilermakers fate. T.J. Edwards forced Markell Jones to fumble and Tanner McEvoy fell on it to seal the win.
Purdue falls to 1-6 for the year, and is winless in the Big Ten at 0-3.
