MARSHFIELD, Wis (WSAU) — The Marshfield History Museum is getting a permanent and greatly expanded home in the future Everett Roehl Library and Community Center.
That’s following an approval by Marshfield’s City Council to allow the museum to occupy 2,400 sq. ft. on the lower level of the future Community Center portion of that project. The council also agreed to consider subsidizing the cost for the space the museum will occupy, since the group’s ability to pay a rental fee is less than the maintenance costs associated with the space.
Also approved for locations in the future Community Center were the Aging and Disability Resource Center and the city’s Park and Recreation Department.
