WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — Two of Wisconsin’s Republican members of Congress were campaigning together in Wausau Tuesday. Seventh District Representative Sean Duffy was joined by First District Representative Paul Ryan at the Yawkey House, where Duffy told WAOW television they had a chance to discuss issues with several area voters. “We’re talking politics, what’s going on in the state, what’s going on nationally, talking about some of the solutions we’re working on to face the problems for the country,” said Rep. Sean Duffy.”
Paul Ryan told the television station this was a good chance to listen and thank the voters. “In the House you’re kind of always used to being in a campaign, we’re up every other year so what we’re doing is just thanking our supporters and talking about the issues that matter most to them,” said Rep. Paul Ryan.”
Duffy says the event gave him an opportunity to discuss several things he is working on in committees with the constituents.
The Yawkey House rally event was followed by a private fundraiser with the candidates for about 450 supporters.
