WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — A Wausau dog will be euthanized after killing another dog Friday morning. The incident happened in the 700 block of Thomas Street when a pit bull broke through a fence and attacked a small poochon dog names Snowball being walked by a woman on the sidewalk. The woman, who is over 60 years old, was unable to defend her tiny dog from the attacking dog.
Police say the pit bull named Krayze had attacked a husky puppy a week before this incident.
The attacking dog had been caught and separated by its owner by the time police arrived. Snowball died at the scene of the attack. The owner of the pit bull agreed to euthanize his dog.
Humane Society officials say most pit bulls are not bad dogs, but some are, and some have been trained to attack.
