KELLNER, Wis. (WSAU) — A near head-on crash left two people injured southeast of Kellner Sunday. Wisconsin State Patrol investigators say the crash happened at 12:59 p.m. on Portage County Highway W, one-quarter mile east of Highway U.
The crash involved a 48-year-old man driving a westbound Chevy Colorado pickup on W that crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound Ford Taurus sedan. The impact caused the car to spin around and collide with a conversion van that was also eastbound.
The car was occupied by a 28-year-old woman and her four children. Only the two drivers were injured. The children, ages 8,5,4, and 1 were unharmed. The occupants of the conversion van were also unharmed.
Names and their medical conditions have not been released.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Portage County deputies, Grant EMS, United Ambulance, and Plover Rescue crews.
