PITTSVILLE, Wis. (WSAU) — A hunter was found dead in the woods near Pittsville Saturday. Wood County Deputy Jesse Nehls says the man was found just before 11:30 a.m. in the Town of Remington, near 811 State Highway 80. He says 62-year-old Robert T. Bakaj was found by other hunters.
Nehls says the death is not consistent with a hunting related accident, and it appears Bakaj had a sudden death due to natural causes. An investigation is continuing into the exact cause of death.
Pittsville Fire Department and the Wood County Coroner assisted Wood County deputies at the scene.
