Ethan Happ scored Sunday’s game-winner in the lane on a feed from Bronson Koenig with ten seconds left. Koenig hit a three-pointer with 26-point-eight seconds remaining to put Wisconsin to within one — and the Spartans then committed a turnover to set up the Badgers’ game-winning basket.
Koenig scored 27 and Nigel Hayes added 25, as the Badgers improved to 2-4 in the Big Ten and 10-9 overall.
Denzel Valentine scored 23 for Michigan State, which has now lost eleven of its last 13 games in Madison and fell to 3-3 in the conference and 16-3 overall.
