WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) — Aspirus Riverview Hospital & Clinics announced a $25 million investment in facility enhancements and expansions on Thursday.
Aspirus is committing to the Wisconsin Rapids community with the rennovations, according to Aspirus Riverview CEO Todd Burch. The improvements will bring the hospital up to stat-of-the-art standards for patient care.
The first project is a cardiovascular institute that should bring heart health care to the area by the end of the year. Extra clinic space will be added and operational by next year, and groundbreaking is expected in early 2017 on a family bithplace with hotel-like suites and more space for the emergency department.
Aspirus purchased Riverview Hospital and Clinics fifteen months ago for around $100 million.
