STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAU) — A past president has decided to withdraw from the Stevens Point School Board race. Angel Faxon told board members Monday night she no longer wishes to compete for one of the four open seats on the board this April. She will complete her present term.
Faxon was one six people seeking the four openings. It’s too late to remove her name from the ballot, so voters will still see her as a choice April 5th.
She has served on the Stevens Point School Board for four years, and has been both it’s vice president and president during that time.
The remaining candidates this spring are current Vice President Jeff Ebel, and newcomers Barb Portzen, Dan Kontos, Rory Suomi, and Amy Dailey.
