EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (WSAU) — Three people were hospitalized after a head-on crash Thursday night near Eagle River.
The crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Highway 70 in Eagle River, right next to the Chevrolet dealership. Deputies say a truck collided with a Volkswagon Jetta. A passenger in the Jetta and the driver of the truck were flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield for treatment of serious injuries. The driver in the Volkswagon was taken to the local hospital.
Highway 70 was closed for nearly four hours while crash reconstruction experts gathered evidence. The names of the people involved have not been released, and the crash remains under investigation.
