AMHERST JUNCTION, WI (WSAU-SPCT) — A woman has been charged with disorderly conduct for a peanut butter protest Monday night in Amherst Junction.
32-year-old Christina Ferguson interrupted Monday’s meeting of the Tomorrow River Conservation Club with a large jar of peanut butter in one hand and plenty to say about Donald Trump. She seemingly believed the meeting was a Trump rally, and when she left, she began spreading the peanut butter over several of the cars parked outside. She was caught in the act by someone attending the meeting.
Portage County Sheriff’s deputies questioned her and she confessed to the incident, claiming peanut buttering is better than firebombing and becoming emotional about her admiration for Hillary Clinton.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by the Stevens Point City Times, Ferguson smelled of alcohol and blew a .218 on a breathalyzer test.
