STEVENS POINT Wis. (WSAU-WAOW) — A man suspected of driving drunk for the fifth time lead police on a high-speed chase in Stevens Point on Thursday.
Police told WAOW Newsline 9 that the 43-year-old from Wisconsin Rapids tried to elude police on State Highway 10 on the city’s east side after he struck some cars at the parking lot of an Econo Lodge hotel at about noon.
No one was hurt in the short chase, and the driver was arrested for suspected driving while intoxicated, which would be his fifth offense. His name was not released.
