WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Senate candidate Leah Vukmir stopped in Wausau on Wednesday.
Vukmir beat out fellow Republican Kevin Nicholson to be endorsed by the Wisconsin GOP and will now take on Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin.
Vukmir tells WAOW-TV that she’s looking forward to showing people that she’s different from Baldwin.
“I’ve had the opportunity to listen to people and hear what their concerns are. The first thing that I heard over and over again is they want people to follow through on their promises that were made at the election. That is something that we have done here in Wisconsin and it’s something that I have done and it’s something that they can count on me to continue to do,” she said.
Vukmir will tour across the state the rest of the week including stops in Fond du Lac, Milwaukee, and a homecoming rally set in Waukesha on Saturday.
