VESPER, WI (WSAU-WDLB) – Several fire departments were dispatched to a barn fire late last night. The Vesper Fire Department took the call at 10:30 from a farm at 5230 Highway C in the Town of Hansen.
Upon arrival crews found a 30-by-80 two-story barn fully involved in fire with multiple ground cover fires ignited by radiant heat from the barn blaze.
Firefighters from Vesper, Arpin, Pittsville, Rudolph, Richfield, and Hewitt were on the scene for three-and-a-half hours.
Owners Chad and Kelly Dorshorst reported that lost contents included a boat, tractor, pick-up truck and tools along with the barn being totally destroyed.
The cause of the fire is undetermined. There were no injuries.
