TOWN OF GRANT, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — One of the four people injured in a Shawano County house explosion has been identified.
Officials say the owner of the home, 62-year-old Steve Verg, was injured in the blast on Verg Road at County M in the Town of Grant.
Three others were hurt in the explosion and four medical helicopters were called to the scene. There’s been no word on their condition and officials say they aren’t releasing any other details at this time.
There is no word yet on the cause of the explosion.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Marion Police Department, Clintonville Ambulance, Tigerton Ambulance, Shawano Ambulance and firefighters from Clintonville, Bowler, Town of Grant, Tigerton, Marion and Town of Pella.
