WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — There was another drug bust at a Wausau house Friday, and it’s a repeat visit for this residence and it’s occupant. 34-year-old Shane Harder lives at the house he rents from a Wittenberg woman in the 700 block of Bertha Street. Harder was arrested for drug charges here in early September, too.
This time, four people were taken into custody, but the identities of the other three have not yet been released.
WAOW television was at the scene during the arrest, where neighbor Steven Pavlow said they used to have a safe, peaceful neighborhood and the people that live there will keep working to get that back again. “We have a very close connection with the police, and that will continue until this is gone.”
Lieutenant Todd Baeton told Newsline 9 this is an address that’s been impacting this neighborhood for quite a long time. “Without the help of the citizens in this matter in particular it would be very difficult for us to continue to move forward, it really is a testament to their desire to have a peaceful neighborhood.”
The four individuals arrested Friday are likely to make initial court appearances Monday or Tuesday for charges of possession and delivery of methamphetamines and prescription drugs.
