WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — Wausau voters have an opportunity to hear a panel discussion comparing their current mayoral government to a city administrator form of government.
The panelists include former Wausau Mayor Linda Lawrence, former mayor and present Marathon County Supervisor John Robinson, County Supervisor Ken Day, City Council member Keene Winters, and UW Oshkosh Professor of Public Administration Dr. Steven Hintz. They are comparing the options in a public forum hosted by Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service at the UW Marathon County Center for Civic Engagement. The program will run from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Panelists do plan to take audience questions after the panel discussion.
The question of whether to keep the present mayoral government or change to an administrator and reduce the responsibilities of the mayor is an advisory referendum on the April 7th ballot.
