STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) The UWSP baseball team splity a doubleheader with UW-Stout on Friday at Iniversity Field. The Pointers came back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the first game at 3 in the 7th inning. Stout pushed across a run in the 9th to win it 4-3.
Game 2 saw the Pointers score five in the 3rd inning and hold off the Blue devils 7-4.
Bobby Gregorich had 4 hits on the day for the Pointers including a home run.
UWSP, now 12-4,3-1 in the WIAC travel to La Crosse on Tuesday for a doubleheader.
The UWSP softball team lost a DH with Eau Claire on Friday. 14-5 & 13-2. Paige Allen had three hits in Game 1 for the Pointers. Wausau West grad Amanda Fischer had 4 rbis for Eau Claire in the nightcap.
The Pointers, now 7-14, 1-3 in the WIAC, travel to Decorah Iowa on Monday to face Luther College.
