MONTGOMERY, AL (WSAU) — Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr is doing much better after serious health problems last fall.
The 81-year-old Hall of Famer suffered a heart attack, two strokes, and four seizures last September. He started an experimental stem cell therapy in June.Starr’s wife Cherry says he had quite the victory meal yesterday. Not only did her husband have three pancakes and a three-egg omelet, he ate it by himself with no assistance and wasted no time doing so. She said, “It was great.”
Bart Starr is also starting to walk short distances again, with a little help. He has come a long way since September, and much of the progress has been made in the last month.
