Braun went 1-4 Wednesday, but did bring in a run when grounding out.
Davis had his homers in the second and third innings. Adam Lind also had a good day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with two singles and a double for Milwaukee. Martin Maldonado put Milwaukee 7-6 ahead with a two-run single in the third inning.
Wily Peralta is now 4-7 after picking up the win despite struggling for five innings surrendering six runs on eight hitss. He walked three and struckout two as the Brewers denied the Marlins their first sweep since May 6-8, 2008 and first at Miller Park since Sept. 1-3, 2006.
Much of the Marlin’s offense came from Justin Bour, who drove in three runs. He hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
Milwaukee is off Thursday, and hits the road to Washington to start a three game series against the Nationals Friday.
