WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) — An overnight fire at a trucking business caused extensive damage. Marathon County Sheriff’s Department officials say the fire was inside Zientara Truck and Trailer’s building at 807 North 25th Street in the Town of Wausau and started at about 12:40 a.m. Friday.
The fire appears to have started in the engine compartment or cab area of a semi tractor that was in the shop for service. They do not know what ignited the fire.
The fire caused extensive damage to both the truck and the building, and remains under investigation.
Firefighters from the Town of Wausau, Town of Easton, Safer Fire Department, City of Wausau Fire Department, and the Safer Emergency Medical Services ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
