COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badgers dominated the second half and extended their win streak to five games in Saturday’s 31-24 win at Maryland.
QB Joel Stave’s sole touchdown pass went to Dare Ogunbowale and it gave the Badgers the margin they needed to hold off a late rally by the Terrapins. An improved second-half U-W defense kept Maryland from crossing midfield until four minutes were left.
Stave threw for 188 total yards and became the third Wisconsin QB to throw for over 7,000 yards in his career. He also picked up his 29th win as a starter, tying John Stocco for the second most in team history.
Wisconsin has a bye week, then hosts Northwestern November 21st with coverage on WSAU.
