If you asked most folks the answer to the above question many would, off the top of their head, answer Lebron James. They would be wrong. If I was starting a team today my first pick would clearly be Stephen Curry. He is playing on another planet right now. The only problem is he plays on the West Coast and doesn't get seen very much by a big chunk of the country. They might as well give Curry the MVP right now. Last night Curry torched the Wizards for 51 points, 25 in the FIRST QUARTER. He hit 11 3-pointers in the game. He led the Warriors to the NBA title last year and they are on pace to eclipse the Chicago Bulls record for wins in a season. They also are the favorite to win another title. Is he the best ever? No, that will always be Mike Jordan…but he's the best going right now, so watch him while you have a chance.
Badger Basketball tonight…they host Ohio State…pre game at 5pm on WSAU
A high school hockey doubleheader on Foxsports Radio AM1390 & FM 93.9 and streaming at foxsportswausau.com. First up, Chris Conley will have the DC Everest at Wausau West game. Then I will be in Minocqua as Wausau East faces Lakeland.
Congrats to Everest grad Lauren Anklam who scored a career high 28 points last night as the Pointers beat Whitewater. Shirley Egner has UWSP playing well.
We all know the Kimberly High School football team is the best in the state. Did you know there is a Kimberly player in the Super Bowl? AJ Klein is a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers.
Songs Of The Day (from my I-pod)
Sandman-America (1971) A Dewey Bunnell song from their first album . The three members met as the sons of soldiers while going to school in England. This song relates to stories they heard from returning soldiers from Viet Nam, who would try to stay awake as long as they could. The Sandman representing death.
