Sue A. Nanson, 69, Wausau, died Wednesday May 11, 2016 at Aspirus Hospice House.
She was born April 29, 1947, in Baraboo, daughter of the late Donald and Harriet (Harper) Nanson. Sue was a 1965 graduate of Antigo High School and a 1980 graduate of Northcentral Technical College. Prior to her retirement, Sue had been employed for 36 years at Al-rene's Flowers, Wausau.
Survivors include her daughter, Sara (Jamie “Woody”) Woodward, Menasha, two grandchildren, Sullivan and Ryan; one brother, William Nanson, Omaha, Neb., two sisters, Sally (Frank) Aparo, Omaha, Neb., and Corda (Don) Barthlow, Tucson, Ariz., her adopted families, the Schumann, Martin, Gebert, Koss, Grass and Wix families—it takes a village to raise a child, and you were all Sue's village—Thank You!
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Arphaline Church and her special friend, Jeanette Kellnhauser.
A time of visitation and sharing stories will be held on Saturday May 21, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau.
