CRANDON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A woman who was found dead in a mobile home park in Crandon took her own life, according to an autopsy that was made public earlier today.
25-year-old Savanna Larson of Lad du Flambeau died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office. Her body was found shortly after a gunshot was heard around 4am Wednesday morning.
Three people at the home were arrested: Valerie Niemuth, Lawrence Schuman and Robert Johnson, all of Crandon. Police are recommending charges of felony possession of a firearm, tampering with evidence and obstruction.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation was prolonged because of evidence tampering at the scene. The agency did not elaborate.
A juvenile found at the home was placed with the Forest County Department of Social Services.
The case remains under investigation.
