WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The HYPE Young Professionals group will be launching what they’re calling “The Immersion Project” in September. The goal of the project is to help teach young professionals about the benefits of living and working in Central Wisconsin.
Renee Krings, Talent Development Director with the Wausau Chamber of Commerce, says the project is designed to give people meaningful experiences that will hopefully make they want to remain in the area.
“The hope or the intent is that through these experiences, that they’ll become more aware of important topics and issues relevant to the area. And, also become cemented and grow roots within the Central Wisconsin Community,” she said.
Krings says although this event is being put on by a young professionals group, it’s really open to anyone.
“The idea is that anyone that would have an interest in learning more about what really makes North-Central Wisconsin a great place to live would benefit from this type of a program,” said Krings.
Those interested in signing up for the event can do so by going to WausauChamber.com. The cost is $500 for members of the chamber and $750 for non-members.
