MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — It’s Miracle Treat Day, one of the largest local fundraising days for the Children’s Miracle Network.
Amanda Lancour, Program Manager for the Network at the now-Marshfield Children’s Hospital, says the purchase of the former St. Joseph’s Hospital won’t change the programs offered.
Lancour said, “Marshfield Clinic Health System purchased the hospital which includes the Childrens Miracle Network program and the Children’s Hospital itself. Together moving forward to expand services for kids in Northern and Central Wisconsin that receive their care at Marshfield Medical Center and the greater community.”
Part of every Blizzard purchase at a participating Dairy Queen today will go towards the Children’s Miracle Network, and every dollar raised here stays here.
“Locations on a local level choose to participate in “Miracle Treat Day”. Most of them in our area, we actually have 12 in our region that are choosing to donate a dollar or more, in most cases a dollar to two dollars, per blizzard sale. That will call come back to Children’s Miracle Network at Marshfield Medical Center,” said Lancour.
This fundraiser brought in $15,000 last year, which goes towards the $500,000 operating costs of local CMN programs, raised entirely by sponsors and donations.
