MILWAUKEE, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — Kike Hernandez iced the cake with a three-run homer in the ninth inning as the Dodgers edged the Brewers 6-4 in Milwaukee.
Manny Machado had two hits and walked twice in his Dodger debut and Rich Hill struck out nine over six frames to earn the win. Kenley Jansen racked up his 28th save.
Wade Miley was strong over six innings for Milwaukee, but the bullpen gave up five runs with Taylor Williams taking the loss.
Christian Yelich was a homer shy of the cycle and drove in three runs. Jesus Aguilar homered as the Brewers lost their seventh straight game.
The two teams play again tonight with the pre-game show at 5:35 on WSAU.
