GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Woodchucks split a DH at Green Bay on Sunday. The first game was the remainder of a game that was suspended by rain on Friday night and went to the Chucks by a score of 4-3. The Bullfrogs bounced back to take game two 4-0.
The Woodchucks head into the Northwoods League All-Star break with a second half record of 10-8, a game behind first place Kenosha & Fond du Lac. Wisconsin Rapids is two games off the pace. Nine teams are within 2 1/2 games of first place.
The All-Star game will be played in Kalamazoo on Tuesday night. The Woodchucks are sending pitchers Lenny Gwizdala and Frank Frate to the game. Wisconsin Rapids will be represented by catcher Ty Duvall, DH Jack-Thomas Wold, OF Brody Wofford and pitchers Mason McReaken & Trayson Kubo. Wofford and Thomas-Wold will also take part in the All-Star Home Run Derby
