WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Have you sent your Christmas mail yet?
You might want to think about putting those packages in the mail earlier as deadlines for holiday delivery are approaching. Deadlines for the postal service include retail ground on December 14th, priority mail, and first class on December 20th, and priority express on the 22.
Wausau Post Master Scott Mayer told WAOW-TV the last day that packages will be delivered to customers. “So we’re actually double our volume. The 24th will be the last day that we deliver packages. The 24th will be the holiday.”
The busiest mailing week for the U.S. Postal Service is Dec. 17-23. And Sunday deliveries are being added during the holiday season as over 8 million packages are expected to be delivered on Sundays.
