STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP womens hockey team forged a 1-1 tie with St. Marys on Friday night at Ice Hawks Arena.
Freshman Dani Heitsman netted her team-tying fifth goal of the season in the 3rd period for the equalizer.
The Pointers, now 5-6-2, will play this afternoon against the College of St. Benedict.
The #1 ranked UWSP mens hockey team beat Concordia of Minnesota 3-2 on Friday night in Moorhead Minnesota.
Jordan Fader, playing in his first game, scored the first goal of the game. Drew McLean scored in the 2nd period and Stephen Beauvais picked up the game winner in the 3rd. It was his first goal of the season.
The Pointers, now 14-0-2, play at St. Olaf tonight.
The UWSP mens basketball team plays at River Falls tonight at 5pm while the women host River Falls at 3pm this aftermoon.
