VILLAGE OF PLOVER, WI (WSAU) — A suspect is in custody following a robbery at the Pizza Ranch located in the Crossroads Commons in Plover Wednesday evening.
Officers say a masked man entered the store and threatened an employee with a gun, demanding cash. The man left the store on foot with the money.
Police from Plover, Stevens Point, and officers from the Portage County Sheriff’s office arrived on the scene within minutes and were able to track the suspect and recover evidence along the route.
Around 80 minutes later they arrested 21-year-old Semaj Amaru Gwyn near Hoover Avenue and Plover Springs Drive. He faces charges of armed robbery and theft.
