VILLAGE OF WESTON, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Health Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a dog that bit a resident at the Weston Dog Park last weekend.
The man said he was bitten on Saturday, June 8th by a 50-60 pound multi-colored black, orange, dark grey, and white pit bull type dog. He said the dog was mixing it up with his German Sheperd, so he stepped in to separate the two and was bitten.
The man said the dog’s handler was a medium-build woman with dark, shoulder-length hair. The dog was named Harvey or Harley. She also had 2 Chihuahuas and left the park in a small red car.
Health officials are looking to verify the dog’s shot records to keep the man from having to go through a series of rabies vaccines. Anyone with information on the animal or who may own it is encouraged to call the Marathon County Health Department at 715-261-1908 or Marathon County Dispatch at 715-849-7794.
