PLOVER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The Plover Shopko site was put up for auction on Monday, but there were no bids for the land.
Shopko filed for bankruptcy in January and the Plover location was one of the first to announce they were shutting down. Monday morning the building at the Plover location was up for auction by the Portage County Sheriff’s Department.
The starting bid was $1,840,000. While there were several attendees of the auction, no one offered a bid or counter offer.
That means the property stays in the hands of the plaintiff, listed as: MLMT 2006-C1 Plover Road, LLC.
The investment group that is taking over Shopko’s eyewear business bought some of the stores around the region, but not the Plover location.
