ROME, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The 1st mini mudder mile in Rome on Saturday afternoon held a special meaning for some Wisconsin Rapids girls.
The course that runs through the Tri-North Ski Club in Nekoosa had around 250 kids completing a course filled with obstacles and mud. And even though the course is difficult at times, but Nekoosa resident Adam Coyer says the important part is that the kids are having fun.
“They want to have someone to do it with them so sometimes they’ll do the obstacle on their own. The kids are having a great time. It seems like everyone is having a great time and that’s all that really matters.”
And a group of girls from Wisconsin Rapids completed the course in bright pink t-shirts to remind people not to bully others. Abbygail Stewart tells WAOW-TV that students should really consider their actions towards others.
“Think about it. If you have bullied someone that’s wrong, you’re treating someone wrong and you shouldn’t do it.”
The girls say they want you to remember the importance of standing up for the little guys and girls so that events in and outside of school can stay positive.
