CALDWELL COUNTY, MO (WSAU) — Authorities in Missouri now say the case of a missing pair of brothers from Shawano has changed from a missing persons case to a death investigation.
25 year old Garland Joseph Nelson is in custody for tampering with the truck of the missing men. The Sheriffs office has not said if he is suspected of causing the disappeance or death of the brothers. A news conference is set for Saturday afternoon.
Nicholas and Justin Diemel went missing while on a cattle buying trip last week. The GPS on their truck placed them at Nelson’s farm near Braymer Missouri last Sunday. Nelson is accused of driving the truck to another location.
Authorites have searched Nelson’s property but have not announced if they found anything in connection with the case.
