MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers coughed up a late lead and Josh Hader blew a save again but Eric Thames picked them up hitting a game-winning walk-off homer with two outs in the 9th inning as the Brewers beat Texas 6-5 on Friday night at Miller Park.
Milwaukee had a 5-2 lead but newly acquired pitcher Jake Faria gave up a two run homer to Logan Forsythe in the 8th and Elvis Andrus took Josh Hader deep in the 9th to tie the game.
Yasmani Grandal had two RBI’s for Milwaukee. Keston Hiura, Ryan Braun and Manny Pina drove in the other runs. Gio Gonzales started and pitched five innings giving up two runs.

The Brewers also made a roster move bringing back Hernan Perez from AAA and optioning Travis Shaw to San Antonio.
