WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A man has entered a plea to OWI charges while having two teens in the car.
Shawn Hignite Sr. was in court Friday morning for a preliminary hearing. At the hearing, he waived his rights to a preliminary hearing, so the court found probable cause and bound Hignite over for arraignment and trial.
Hignite then pleaded not guilty to charges of OWI causing injury with passengers under the age of 16 and three firearm-related charges. The charges stem from a June 30th crash in the Village of Weston near Ross Avenue and Babl Lane.
