Whatever happened to professional athletes that embraced the situation they found themselves in and competed to win? I realize that since the dawn of free agency players have more power to determine their circumstances and are rightly able to shop their services to the highest bidder. But, once you have a contract with a team, isnt it the right thing to do to compete as hard as you can to make that team a winner? I ask the question because their have been a couple of instances this week where players on losing teams are demanding trades. All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey of Jacksonville is the latest. He joins a number of the Miami Dolphins trying to whine themselves out of losing situations. Antonio Brown did it earlier in Oakland. In the NBA, players have done so much recruiting of other players to form super teams that the league is considering 10 million dollar fines for tampering with players under contract. There have been hundreds if not thousands of outstanding players who have never won a championship in their sports. Ernie Banks & Carl Yasztremski, Dan Fouts and Dick Butkus, Bob Lanier & Elvin Hayes and the list goes on. I don't remember them complaining about their situations publically and I certainly don't remember them demanding a trade to a winning team. No one likes to lose and if the front office of the team you play for is incompetent, you have an escape clause when your contract expires. But while you are there, isnt it your responsibility as a professional to compete at the highest level you can and try to change what's happening?
We have seen the tanking phenomenom in baseball and basketball and now it has reached the NFL. Miami may be the worst team in NFL history. Fans in South Florida are already putting up with a tanking situation with the Marlins and now this. If you are a fan of a tanking team why would you spend one dollar on a team thats not trying, even if the reason why is to get better in the future? A ray of hope…the Dolphins hasve three first round picks next year, two 2nd rounders and two 3rd rounders.

Quotes Of The Day
“The GOP plan to remain in power forever. They don't care if damning info comes out so long as they control the mechanisms of repercussions for it. The final step in doing that is controlling the courts. That's why they are rushing the process and being so brazen at the same time.”-Sarah Kendzior
Boris Johnson Quotes The Hulk….
The Hulk Shoots Back
“Boris Johnson forgets that the Hulk only fights for the good of the whole. Mad and strong can also be dense and destructive. The Hulk works best when he is in unison with a team, and is a disaster when he is alone. Plus…he’s always got Dr. Banner with science and reason.”-Mark Ruffalo
“Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!”-Donald Trump
“Per the US Constitution, it is Congress that decides when to go to war. It is not the executive branch and it certainly isn’t Saudi Arabia.

“I’m sure Republicans would have been totally fine and cool with it if Obama had said he was waiting for the Saudis to give him instructions about whether to start a war with Iran shortly after he helped them try to cover up for murdering & dismembering a Washington Post columnist”-Brian Klaas
