WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The company that operates the R-Stores in Wisconsin is selling to a Virginia based investment firm that also runs a string of convenience stores.
Riiser Fuels LLC, owned by Don Draughon and JD Dykstra is selling to GPM Investments which operates 1400 stores in 23 states.
The Wausau Pilot and Review reports that most of the employees of R-Stores should be able to keep their jobs but it will move the headquarters of the company out of Wausau for the first time since the company was founded as Riiser Energy in 1945.
The company operates 57 convenience stores throughout Wisconsin
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
