OSHKOSH, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP football team dropped a 20-7 decision at UW-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon.
Matt Urmanski was 24-47 for 251 yards. Shamaj Williams had 58 yards on the ground and scored the Pointers lone touchdown.
The Pointers, now 2-3, 1-1 in WIAC, will host Whitewater this Saturday at 1pm in the homecoming game at Goerke Field.
The UWSp womens volleyball team beat Milliken 3-0 and Gustavus Adolphus 3-1 Saturday to finish an unbeaten week and get to 20 wins on the season.
April Gehl had 39 kills on the day. Ellie Adams racked up 74 assists over the two matches.
The Pointers, now 20-5, will travel to Carthage on Wednesday.
The UWSP womens soccer team rolled over UW-River Falls 5-0 on Saturday at River Falls.
Rapids Assumption grad Gracie Wendels had two goals for the Pointers. Lauren Johnson, Mandy Hardyman and Kati Frierdich also scored. The Pointers allowed no shots on goal in the whitewash.
The Pointers, now 9-2-2, 3-0 in WIAC, will host Whitewater on Saturday.
