RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A jury has found an Eau Claire man guilty of sexually assaulting a child in Oneida County in 2013.
Investigators say Brandon Darnick’s DNA tied him to the crime, but charges were delayed because the sex assault kit went untested for more than four years.
The child, who was two years old at the time, told investigators that Darnick said he was a doctor when he molested him.
The trial began Monday, with the jury finding Darnick guilty Wednesday afternoon. A sentencing date has not been set.
