WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A number of area boys basketball players received all-state recognition from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association this week.
Grant Flory of Wisconsin Rapids was honorable mention in Division 1.
Gabe Krueger of Wausau East and Michael Casper of Merrill were honorable mention in Division 2
Ben Barten of Stratford was named to the Division 4 First Team along with Justin Sivertson of Iola-Scandanavia and Cooper Weinfurter of Auburndale. Receiving D-4 honorable mention were Alex King of Neillsville & Connor Kurki of Iola-Scandanavia.
Matthew Kissner of Pittsville and Caleb Williams of Wild Rose were named to the Division 5 First Team. Honorable Mention went to Kole Bogdonovich of Loyal, Peyton Enders of Prentice, Levi Ewan of Rib Lake and Cameron Ford from Athens.
On the girls side:
Leah Earnest from Stevens Point was named First Team in Division 1.
Kennedy Van Zile from Rhinelander was named First Team in Division 2. Julianna Ouimette of Lakeland was honorable mention.
In D-3 Abi Fraaza of Witt/Birn earned honorable mention
D-4 -Hailey Voelker of Colby earned First Team honors. Breanna Ackley of Stratford and Sarah Mueller of Pacelli were honorable mention
Julia Seidel of Wausau Newman named First Team in Division 5. Addison Bauer of Marshfield Columbus, Madalyn Bohn of Rapids Assumption, Anna Caswell of Wild Rose, Jadelyn Ganski of Wausau Newman and Makenna Guden of Edgar named honorable mention
