WEYAUWEGA, WI (WSAU) — A 30 year old Weyauwega man drowned on Wednesday trying to save a dog on a Waupaca County pond.
It happened around 4pm on private property in the town of Weyauwega. First responders were able to get the man out of the water and tried to resusitate him. He was pronounced dead at Theda Clark Medical Center in Waupaca.
The dog managed to get out of the water before first responders arrived. The man’s identity has not been released.
