WESTON, WI (WSAU) – Weston Village President Wally Sparks is moving to South Carolina and will resign his seat on the Board of Trustees effective July 16th.
Sparks was the long-time chief of the Everest Metro Police Department before retiring from that post. He’s been a member of the village board since 2019.
The board will have the option to appoint a new president. A special election could also be held to fill the post.
Sparks told fellow board members that he’s sold his home, and is moving to be closer to family members.
