WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A local hotel set to be partially demolished and remodeled is selling off items.
If you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of the Plaza Hotel now’s your chance. According to International Content Liquidations, a hotel and resort liquidation service, the hotel is selling almost all of their items. The liquidation sale begins on Thursday and runs until all items are sold.
Items up for sale include flat-screen TVs, linens, carpets and drapes, bar and restaurant furnishings, chairs, tables, china, and glassware among others. All items in the hotel are up for sale during the liquidation.
The sale will be open every day until all items are sold. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. And then on Sunday’s the sale is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Once all items are sold, construction work will begin on the hotel. The proposed plan is to demolish half of the hotel and leave the tower portion to be remodeled into a Best Western. The rest of the site is being sold to a local developer to build multi-family residential units.
