UNDATED (WSAU-WAOW) – A portion of Highway 64 in Langlade and Lincoln counties are closed due to high water levels.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Lincoln County Highway Department closed WIS 64, between Lincoln County W and Langlade County H, Sunday evening.
The closure is at the Pine Creek bridge reconstruction project.
A detour is signed and is as follows: Eastbound WIS 64 traffic will use County W, County P, County J, WIS 52, and US 45 to arrive back at WIS 64. Westbound traffic is the reverse.
Officials will reassess the bridge Monday morning. The DOT says motorists should not drive through barricades or through standing water; turn around, don’t drown.
